How We Work
HumanLayer is built as a final review layer for teams that publish in English.
The process is designed to improve clarity, tighten risky wording, and reduce avoidable friction before content goes live.
1. What this service is
This is a pre-publication review process.
It is designed for teams that already have content in motion and want a stronger final pass before publication.
2. What this service is not
HumanLayer is not:
- a promise of rankings or SEO outcomes
- a detection tool
- a publishing platform
- a substitute for legal advice
- a source-creation service for unsupported claims
3. How the review works
Each text typically goes through four steps:
- Editorial pass — Same message, clearer language, tighter phrasing.
- Claim check — Numbers and unsupported assertions are flagged for sourcing.
- Risk scan — Overclaims, guarantees, and sign-off issues are identified before publication.
- Final delivery — You receive a reviewed draft plus clear risk notes.
4. How claims and sources are handled
HumanLayer does not add new facts to a client draft.
If a claim, number, statistic, or assertion appears unsupported, it is flagged for review or sourcing. Source-heavy or high-risk texts may require a custom quote.
5. Revisions
One revision round is included in standard review work unless stated otherwise in writing.
If the scope changes materially after the initial review, additional work may require a separate quote.
6. White-label work
For agencies, HumanLayer can operate as a white-label review layer.
The client relationship stays with the agency. HumanLayer focuses on the final review process behind the scenes.
7. Turnaround
Standard turnaround is usually 24–72 hours depending on length and risk class.
Express turnaround may be available for selected projects. High-complexity, urgent, or source-heavy work may require custom quoting.
8. Confidentiality
HumanLayer treats client drafts and business materials as confidential working material.
Clients should share only what is needed for the review and should not send passwords, login credentials, banking information, or other highly sensitive data through the website form.
9. Good fit
HumanLayer is usually a good fit for:
- content and SEO agencies
- SaaS and in-house marketing teams
- teams that want a consistent final review layer before publication
